  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • ½ cup milk

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or a similar 2-quart casserole dish.

  • Add the flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until just combined.
  • Pour in the milk and mix until a smooth batter forms.
  • Fold in the well-drained crushed pineapple until evenly distributed.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it into an even layer.
  • Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  • Remove from the oven and let the bake cool for 10–15 minutes before serving.
  • Serve warm with whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or a dusting of powdered sugar if desired.
